Crusty Potato Fingers ( Finger Foods for Kids )

French Fries or Potato Fingers are undoubtedly every child's all time favourite snack. So imagine how delighted they’ll be when they find it packed in their tiffin! Of course, the expected Kissan ketchup generally consumed as accompaniment is already in the french fries  delivering a tangy fun flavour bringing out the intrinsic taste of great fries that your kids will simply devour.

  1. For The Batter
  2. Maida: 1 cup
  3. Cornflour: 15 grams
  4. Salt to taste
  5. To Be Ground Into A Paste
  6. Chopped onions: 30 grams
  7. Finely chopped bell peppers: ¼ cup
  8. Grated carrot: ¼ cup
  9. Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup: 4 tablespoons
  10. Ginger: 5 grams
  11. Other Ingredients
  12. Potatoes (large): 2
  13. Corn flakes: 1 cup
  14. Water
  15. Pepper to taste
  16. Oats: 1 cup
  17. Corn flakes and oats crumbs: 80g

Method of Preparation

  1. For the paste
  2. Grind ginger, bell peppers, onions, carrots together and take the paste into the bowl
  3. For the batter
  4. Combine oats, flour(maida), corn flour, salt along with the prepared paste in bowl and mix well to make a thick batter using enough water and add Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup to it. Keep aside.
  5. How to proceed
  6. Boil a vessel full of water in a deep pan, add the salt and cook till the potatoes are parboiled. Drain and keep aside to cool.
  7. Peel the potatoes and cut them into fingers.
  8. Take a plate and add oats, crush corn flakes into it.
  9. Dip the potato fingers in the batter and roll out in the crushed corn flakes and oats mixture till they are evenly coated from all sides.
  10. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep-fry the fingers on a medium flame till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on absorbent paper and season pepper on it.
  11. Cool slightly and serve with salsa and Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup.
