Methi & Spinach Fritters

Palak & Methi Pakora/Fritters are a great way to include greens into your child's diet! Kissan Sweet & Spicy Sauce gives an amazing kick to the dish making both these vegetables a yummy option for tiffin time.

Ingredients

  1. Chopped fenugreek leaves ( Methi): 1 cup
  2. Chopped spinach: 1 cup
  3. Whole wheat flour: 1/2 cup
  4. Besan: 1/2 cup
  5. Baking soda: 1 teaspoon
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Kissan Sweet & Spicy Sauce: 1 tablespoon
  8. Turmeric powder (Haldi): 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Red chilli powder: 1 teaspoon
  10. Asafoetida (hing): 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Cumin powder: 1 teaspoon
  12. Carom seeds (Ajwain): 1 teaspoon
  13. Sesame seeds (Til seeds): 1 teaspoon
  14. Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  15. Sugar: 1/2 teaspoon
  16. Water as required

Method of Preparation

  1. Heat a pan and toast sesame seeds and carom seeds in it
  2. Take a bowl, add flour, besan, toasted seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, hing, cumin powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, spinach, methi leaves, Kissan Sweet & Spicy Sauce and water. Mix it well
  3. Now heat oil in a pan, add a spoonful of the mixture and shallow fry it until it’s golden brown
  4. Pack the crispy fritters in the tiffin box
