Peas Semiya Upma

Today's tiffin recipe of Peas Semiya Upma with Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup is an exciting tweak to your regular upma. Protein and fiber-rich peas are sautéed with vermicelli in the zingy Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup to give you a brand new tiffin recipe.

Ingredients

  1. Oil: 2 teaspoons
  2. Mustard seeds: 1 teaspoon
  3. Urad dal: ½ teaspoon
  4. Finely chopped green chillies: ½ teaspoon
  5. Ginger paste: 1 teaspoon
  6. Finely chopped curry leaves: 1 teaspoon
  7. Chopped onion: 2 tablespoons
  8. Grated carrot: 1 cup
  9. Green peas (par boiled or frozen): 2 tablespoons
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup: 1 tablespoon
  12. Roasted vermicelli: ½ cup
  13. Water as required

Method of Preparation

  1. - Heat oil in a pan.
  2. - Add mustard seeds and allow to crackle.
  3. - Add urad dal, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves, onion, carrot and green peas and sauté well.
  4. - Season with salt and give the ingredients a quick mix.
  5. - Sauté well on a medium flame for 1-2 minutes.
  6. - Add the Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup, roasted vermicelli and water. Close the lid and let it cook.
  7. - The upma in ready to go into the tiffin box.
