Penne in Tomato Sauce

Tomato Sauce Penne Pasta is a great recipe to pack in your child’s tiffin. Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup in the dish renders a perfectly balanced taste.

  1. Penne pasta cooked: 1 cup
  2. Olive oil: 2 teaspoons
  3. Finely chopped garlic: 2 pods
  4. Finely chopped onion: 2 tablespoons
  5. Mixed dried herbs/pizza seasoning (optional): 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup: 1.5 teaspoon
  7. Tomato puree: 100 ml
  8. Finely chopped capsicum, mushrooms/carrots
  9. Pinch pepper
  10. Cheese: 1 Cube

Method of Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Sauté garlic and onion for 2-3 mins with a pinch of salt.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add the sliced potato-onion.
  3. Add seasoning, ketchup, tomato puree and black pepper and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add cooked pasta to this, toss to combine well.
  5. Switch off flame and grate cheese into the pasta so that it melts over the hot pasta.
  6. (Optional) Add 5-6 leaves of spinach, finely chopped while sautéing onions
  7. (Optional) Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup balances the slightly sour notes of the tomato puree in the sauce.
